Dan have you considered doing a raffle? Scammers won't pay for a raffle ticket for the gear and it's all run separate from the channel. You could donate the proceeds to a worthwhile charity maybe? Don't know what the costs to you may be. I'd imagine maybe a few that would come off the proceeds before you got them? Worth considering. Messner does them regularly.

Whats the point of having a random give away which is then picked at random if youre then going to judge them based off their youtube? And then you say it needs to be a youtuber who does camping stuff? Most of us dont have the time or resources to make these videos, most those people like yourself who also get stuff for free anyway. I thought the whole point of your channel was to get people interested in camping and in your own words 'just get out and do it". Ive lost a bit of interest/respect in your channel after this as clearly youre only interested in life stylers and not everyday people interested in camping.

Being disabled Dan, an ebike would enable me to get out with friends to do some camping. I don't drive so I'm completely reliant on friends to get from A to B. The Vitilan i7 Pro looks a sturdy bike with some great features.

the field i work in i see this a lot and for me its really obvious when i see it. i think the best thing to do would sack off the YT giveaways and use raffall instead like the others do. just do a token payment to cover admin costs like 25 or 50p and this covers the cost for listing and postage etc and gives you less of a headache. some people are numb though and i cant beleive theyre giving you grief over somethign you clearly mentioned a few videos back to watch out for...

its sad when we have scammers who are usally young guys who are desperate to rip people off because they are to bone idle to get off there backsides and earn a living like honest descent people do. theres a guy called the white scammer ive been told and he names and shames these people and passes the evidence on to police .might be idea to get in touch with him dan turn the tables this guy steals all the money the scammers have and returns it to the rightful owners

You just need to do give aways over several videos reinforcing the transparency of that you will only ever give out the winner in a video before you contact them, and on any social media there will be scammers no different to as long as people are on the planet there will be thieves

I'm sure you can stop comments with attached links from posting? Well, if not, it used to be the case. You make it very clear in the givaways not to click on those links, but they do all the same.

Hi Dan, any regular watcher of your channel will be well aware of issues experienced in the past when you offer a give away, and will have the good sense to not take any notice of scam messages. If someone follows your channel then it would be obvious no one has won anything if draw has not taken place. Love your content and support you offer to food banks and the homeless. I have always wanted to visit the UK and i would like to see a couple of bothys. Maybe some day i will be able to save enough to go there. I really enjoy your videos.

A young man once told me how to keep warm in a house without heat or while camping in winter. Said he learned it from hobos. When getting ready to sleep use layers. Wear your clothes to bed, use a sleeping bag, then a layer of newspapers, them a blanket or a coat and other clothing on top of the newspaper. A layer of newspapers under the sleeping bag to protect you from the cold ground. I was camped by in the winter when I tried it and it kept me toasty warm. It really helped that I had my rabbit fur coat with me. I put that on top of the newspapers on my sleeping bag. Fur has excellent insulation and I love it. I know people are against wearing fur but it's warmer than a lot of coats or jackets. And since rabbits are eaten, why waste their fur? That would be a crime. I did try the newspaper trick after my rabbit coat got to old to use. I had to live a year without electricity or water and that winter I had no heat. On my bed I put the usual sheet and blanket and then a layer of newspapers then another blanket. I got almost too hot in bed. Yeah, newspapers work as insulation.
